honey tangerine

Honey tangerines are sweet and juicy when ripe, mix a little honey or agave with them and you get a wonderful flavor combination.  This was another great find at Andy’s market in Sebastopol which I was happy to discover.

Ingredients:

1 C cooked oatmeal
1 T water
1 T honey or agave
1 honey tangerine
1 t grapeseed oil

Directions:

Peel tangerine and break into segments.  Add water and agave/honey to a saucepan with tangerine pieces and simmer for 5 or so minutes until the tangerine is infused with the sweetness and there is a nice amount of liquid in the pan to mix with the oatmeal.  Add grapeseed oil to oatmeal and the juice from the pan.  Garnish with the tangerine slices, enjoy!

mOMent: Like-ability – Do people like you?  Does it bother you when people don’t? When this happens, if we take a look at the deeper reflection, we can often notice that in fact, there is something within ourselves that WE don’t like.  And then, we can work to let that go, work it through and become a freer, fully aware Being.

chocolate almond delight

For the chocolate in this I used Lydia‘s raw chocolate sauce, it is so delectable!  However, I’m sure that any chocolate sauce would do.  I’ve left the agave as optional here.  If you prefer your oatmeal sweet add a squeeze or two…

Ingredients:

1 C cooked old-fashioned oats
2 T chocolate sauce
2 T almond butter
Agave to taste, if you like it sweet!

Directions:

Combine almond butter and chocolate sauce in a small saucepan over low heat.  Stir until well mixed, be careful not to over cook and burn the chocolate.  stir oatmeal and half of the mixture together, add agave if you like.  The rest of the mixture can be added, or used as a delicious topping for something else. Yum!

Renata

mOMent: The art of creating delectable chocolate is truly amazing.  As with any creation, the more love that goes into the project, the better it is.  Today, add an extra dose of love to whatever it is that you’re doing, and see how the results change.
